My company is looking to deploy ovirt. We are looking for recommendations for storage hardware. What vendors or appliances are individuals using with iscsi protocol? What is the big hubbub around iSCSI any way? As far as I have been able to tell, the people with most storage-related problems are using iSCSI or Gluster, mostly iSCSI. So what is the lure there? What is the big excitement around it the makes everyone want to use it, I don´t get it... All of our core storage is served through NFS; both for our primary site with Netapp storage and VMWare, and our low-budget, open alternative the uses FreeBSD/ZFS storage and oVirt. Never an issue as far as storage is concerned, ever.
