Sorry if I have to correct you or I didn't understand you correctly but do you mean RHEL doesn't provide these compiler flag in their qemu-kvm version?
Because I think they do: http://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/enterprise/6Server/en/RHEV/SRPMS/qemu-kvm-rhev-0.12.1.2-2.415.el6_5.5.src.rpm There is also a BZ somewhere.
