I am unfamiliar with Nagios. a MIB-less solution can be made by passing traps from snmptrapd to a custom handler (script) instead of SNMPTT. regexp filtering based on OIDs can be applied next. see Zabbix [2]. Maybe someone that is familiar with Nagious can provide a way for generic monitoring. Regards, Mooli Tayer.
