I believe my problem is related to this bug https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1303316
As you can see in the screenshot the hostedengine storage is unassigned and so both ovf_stores are OK, but not linked and therefore can't be updated?! So for now I guess I'll wait for update 3.6.4 and cross my fingers and updates solves the event log error.
