Hi Charles, Currently, oVirt communicates with Ceph only through Cinder. If you want to avoid using Cinder perhaps you can try to use cephfs and mount it as a posix storage domain instead. Regarding Cinder appliance, it is not yet implemented though we are currently investigating this option.
