To be able to use the .vv file, virt-viewer 2.0-8 is required and it can't be found in CentOS 7 repos. CentOS 6 repos contain 2.0-14 version however. Any info about when will the required version land in the CentOS 7 repositories?

Does the vendor have a plan for future? Another non-intrusive option is to use the web-based console clients….which are of varying quality though, so not a feasible replacement in many cases.
