If this is replica 2 arbiter 1 (old name replica 3 arbiter 1) or a plain 
replica 3 volume -  you don't need the downtime.
Just stop the bricks on one of the nodes.
Mount (and verify) those  SSDs on the same location and use the gluster's reset 
brick option.
Wait for the heal to complete and repeat with the other node(s).
