That idea is going to work at LVM level inside the VM, but at the end the
hosted-engine VM is a VM so potentially taking a snapshot at VM level is a
better option.
Currently this is not working because the hosted-engine VM disk is
protected for split brains by a volume lease (VM leases weren't available
when we started hosted-engine) and this inhibits snapshots and so live
storage migration and so on.
We already have an open RFE  to implement it for 4.4:
