I guess you can try to: - Set global maintenance - Power off the HostedEngine VM - virsh dumpxml HostedEngine > /root/HE.xml - use virsh edit to change the cpu of the HE (non-permanent) change - try to power on the modified HE If it powers on , you can try to migrate it and if it succeeds - then you should make it permanent.
