In another rip-and-replace adventure, of multiple, where the vm refuses to leave the libvirt stage more than once, I stopped in the middle of things to make dhcp mark the random MAC address with the IP I needed the vm to have. Then for some reason (still don’t know why) the installation completed successfully. Hopefully I can move on from there without issue. Very wary of trying again from scratch.
