Hello all, we've managed to find the vm definitions in one of the logical volumes.
"Europe/Berlin=Central European Standard Time" was missing. After adding that in 10-timezones.properties under /etc/ovirt-engine/timezones and doing a restart of the engine, it was possible to import the vms. I am so glad we could find and fix this.
