I faced the same problem after upgrade to 4.5.
Basic authentication is deprecated -
https://www.ovirt.org/documentation/doc-REST_API_Guide/#basic-authentication
And it seems like it was removed in 4.5
Use oauth.

We are facing issue while using basic authentication .
We get 401 unauthorized error . It was working in previous versions.
