Fontbox and Jempbox) to the ASF because he had no more time/interest in it. And we are very thankful for that. He is still listed as team member but didn't participate for a long time.
Based on that donation Apache PDFBox started as an incubator project and graduated as top level project in 2009. At least until then, the Apache PDFBox PMC [1] is responsible for the project. To interact with the project or better its community, one should use the mailing lists [2]. Every helping hand is welcome!! > Just a thought.
