Ok, ok, I took the time and tried the code with 14 files I had. And it
worked fine. So there must be something else... no idea.

Actually I found that the problem must be the Adobe Acrobat Reader, with Foxit
Reader there isn't problems.
Ok, if it is an Adobe error, then I don't have to test :-)
So what can you do?
1) submit a bug report
https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform
2) ask your client if it is OK to pack the attachments into a ZIP if they are
more than 10.
