Tilman, MacOS Preview like this "(Why is this named "preview" if one can change things?!)" in the same way that Adobe Reader allows files to be filled and saved. Reader vs Preview - both imply - but aren't - simply viewers with no ability to modify and save. I'm not here to defend Mac's Preview. In fact, I often find frustration with fitting into Apple's orthodoxy. But, the hardware and software are quite stable with fewer issues than Windows. That said, I still do have Win7 (I know, it's no longer supported) installed in Parallels for Mac so I can do windows-only stuff.
