Hello, I've tried that and

fontDescriptor.getCOSObject().removeItem(cidSet);

actually works.

Now originally there was the check if fontDescriptor is an instance of
PDFontDescriptorDictionary around it, can I ignore that or express it in
PDFbox 2?
