I looked at that content stream again, it seems you're using a pattern
"color". IIRC there's a PDFBox weakness with patterns that are very small.

Hi Tilman,
so played around a liitle bit with the PDFDebugger tool (in 2.0.25 & 3.0 alpha).
It is interesting, that the watermark gets displayed at a zoom level of about 200%. The
font itself is very big. So I think, it has nothing to do with some sort of
"rendering-optimization" for small objects. For default zoom level (100%) the
watermark is not shown at all.
(And there are no interesting logs - just "Parsing took xx ms")
So I increased the quality of the rendering by using a much higher dpi value -
and there it is. For a high dpi, the watermark gets rendered onto the image (we
are talking about a resolution of 1488x2104) Reducing the rendering quality to
a resolution (let's say 744x1052) the watermark gets not rendered.
How can that be? Why does the watermark get discarded for lower quality?
Thanks in advance & Kind regards from the CAS Campus
