2019-06-16 11:32:55 UTC - Guillaume Braibant: Hello Pulsar ! I am a young Belgian researcher working with Pulsar on a custom bare-metal Kubernetes cluster (which passes all Kubernetes conformance tests). During my work, I have developed and tested a new method to deploy bookies. This method uses a new feature of Kubernetes 1.14 (March 2019) : Local Persistent Volumes. I would like to share it with the community to evaluate its interest.
The motivation behind this development is to be able to tune the scheduling of bookies with a Stateful Set and leverage Local Persistent Volumes in order to claim local storage through the Persistent Volumes and Persistent Volumes Claims mechanisms. If that method interests you, please let me know. You can visit <https://github.com/guillaume-braibant/unofficial-pulsar-k8s-bookies> for more details. All remarks are welcome.
