2019-08-11 12:15:11 UTC - Kim Christian Gaarder: How can I delete a schema
completely from Pulsar using java-admin-client so that a different schema can
be used for the same topic?

I have now used the Schemas.deleteSchema(topic), Topics.deleteTopic(topic),
Namespaces.deleteNamespace(namespace), Tenants.deleteTenant(tenant), then
recreated tenant and namespace. But still when I attempt to connect with
another schema than was used the very first time, I get the error that the
schema is incompatible. This means that there is schema information stored
somewhere else that I have not been able to delete.
----
2019-08-11 12:50:27 UTC - Sijie Guo: @Kim Christian Gaarder there is a bug in
2.4.0 and previous versions, which includes deleted schema for BC check. the
fix will be in 2.4.1

consider building one package from master.

Spring client library, just the plain Java client library for now. Is there
some specific functionality that you are looking for in Spring client library
that isn't available in the plain Java one?

2019-08-12 08:03:27 UTC - Zhenhao Li: hi team, I wonder what's Palsar offsets'
data type. if I never delete data, the offset will grow forever, in theory
----
2019-08-12 08:10:16 UTC - Kim Christian Gaarder: Read the
architecture-overview. Pulsar store messages in BookKeeper, which organizes
topics into multiple ledgers. So it’s more than a simple offset per message.
<https://pulsar.apache.org/docs/en/concepts-architecture-overview/>
----
2019-08-12 08:18:57 UTC - Sijie Guo: @Zhenhao Li :

add more to what @Kim Christian Gaarder explained.

pulsar’s data retention is subscription based. that means if you created a
subscription and without deleting it and you never use the subscription again,
the data of that topic will grow until it hits the backlog quota.

2019-08-12 08:31:55 UTC - Richard Sherman: If you can't install docker then you
need python installed and an RDBMS, MySql and Postgress are supported. A few
