Its probably something minor, thats different, but its scary, that even the
same minor versions from same implementaion wont play well with each other.
Hum. I'd be very surprised if there was any wire-level incompatibility between
them. More likely there's a conflict over libqpidcommon.so which is used by both
broker and client. We're not yet to the point of having a clear binary
compatibility story so there's no guarantee of link-level compatibility at all
except from a single build.
If you have the time/interest and 2 machines you could confirm this - see if the
from-source client on one machine works with the yum installed broker on
another. I'm betting they will.
