Am using options like this:
qpidd --daemon --pid-dir /var/run/qpidd --config /etc/qpid/qpidd.conf
Are there any error in /var/log/messages? You could also try adding
--log-to-file qpidd.log --log-enable info+ and see if there are any
clues in that.
