No, you don't have to cancel the subscription, but then the broker may
be sending you messages after you've stopped being interested in them.
2. I was trying to send/recv messages continuously from producer/listener respectively but after few seconds the system hangs... is it because of accept overhead that is required after every message?
Get pstack traces for the producer and listener, that will help diagnose
the issue here. This is certainly not simply due to sending accepts.
If you have test code you could create a Jira and attach it there.
