When a queue backs up (substantially) and then eventually is read by a subscriber, does the memory footprint get immediately released or are their sweeps for this?
We've noticed Qpid consuming 100's of MB of memory even though their are no queued messages, the only explanation we can formulate is that the queue depths were high at one point and then that footprint was never released. -Adam
