turned out its probably something either in my /etc/hosts or network config: i had been trying qpid-config -a localhost:5672, but just now as i tried with the server name and it worked - qpid-config -a server1:5672
i'm pretty sure the 'localhost' way also worked, so there might have been some change in server config in the meantime thank you for you time, Ted! stoyan -- View this message in context: http://apache-qpid-users.2158936.n2.nabble.com/qmf-hangs-tp6372983p6373127.html Sent from the Apache Qpid users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Apache Qpid - AMQP Messaging Implementation Project: http://qpid.apache.org Use/Interact: mailto:[email protected]
