retries connecttimeout connectdelay are supported by the Java client 0.12 and will be continued to be supported by the upcoming 0.14 release. The Programming for Apache Qpid docbook you found should be definivite and should document these options. If you would raise a Jira against the documentation, I will resolve this for a future release.
