Hi, Regarding the question 2, the connection URL in the JMS API allows you to specify a broker list with multiple brokers and then reconnect between them in round robin principle - http://qpid.apache.org/books/0.12/Programming-In-Apache-Qpid/html/ch03s02.html#section-jms-connection-url
You may want the two brokers to run ion cluster. I do not think it is necessary to the client, but it may save you some troubles with having some clients connected to one and other to the second broker.
