Hi, everyone. We've now branched for release, and the beta is ready for testing.

We expect to find and fix many defects as we approach the final GA release. My own testing on Fedora 16 x86-64 shows failures in the C++ qmf and store tests. The former is really a minor issue resulting from an older qmf version in my test environment. The latter failures are memory leaks reported by valgrind and should get resolved (either fixed or determined to be false positives) before RC1. Since we've branched, any further changes for 0.26 follow the "review and approve" rules. See the release page for more information. Please test the parts that matter to you and report what you find, good or bad. Your help testing is essential to improving our releases.
