OK - I think the latest fix I made (on trunk) should fix this issue. Since it's the same impact as Gordon's JIRA I think it's a blocker and so would be grateful if you can try to reproduce on trunk (or by locally modifying 0.32 with the change in https://svn.apache.org/r1664714 )
