The Red Hat rpm containing qpidd are built from 'pristine' source of a given qpid public release (indicated in the version number of the rpm) with 0 or more additional patches applied for bugs fixes. These patches are always pushed back upstream whenever relevant. You can of course get the full source for the rpms to see the set of patches applied in any given version if you like.
