Thanks for the quick replay. I tried your suggestion. I could not find
the directory "dist/tools/uhcpd" and the script "start_network.sh"
Hence I tried this :
$ sudo ./ethos tap0 /dev/ttyACM0
and got these messages:

----> ethos: activating serial pass through.
----> ethos: hello received

Try #4725 [1], with that you won't need a second UART.
