My app is a responsive app so that it looks good on all devices. Everything is meticulously laid out by the dimensions of the webpage. But I am having trouble when the soft keyboard shows up for text input on mobile devices.
I thought that the keyboard would cover the webpage and shift the text input to be visible, but that is not what is happening. The soft keyboard is popping up, and the bounds of the dimensions of the webpage are adjusting to be above the keyboard causing me all kinds of grief. A phone held in portrait orientation, once the keyboard extends, the visible part of the page is now wider than it is tall, so essentially in landscape mode. But even worse, I have buttons at the bottom of my page that are getting forced up to midscreen when the keyboard appears and they are covering my content. Why is this happening? Is there a way to turn off the reshaping of the page dimensions when the keyboard appears? -- Sent from: http://apache-royale-users.20374.n8.nabble.com/
