Yes, idle tasks for example.


How could the thread_switch hook see such a name?

It is in the thread control block. You can inspect the other members to figure out which task it is.


My only theory at the moment is that a wild pointer messed with the thread object.

I would set a write break point to the name member in the thread control block to figure out the origin of this name.
