OK thank very much for the help so far. I've installed openser and enabled the nathelper module and I know that openser can communicate with rtpproxy through the Unix socket.
However am still not getting any audio 2 things: 1) am not sure I understand "Basically, you need to indicate direction the message is going when calling force_rtp_proxy()" 2) I have a feeling that I should define the port range over that the VoIP handsets communicate (2048:3329), however I have no idea where I am supposed to specify that. Very kind regards Dom -----Original Message----- From: Maxim Sobolev [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 29 May 2008 20:24 To: RTPproxy Users Subject: Re: [RTPproxy Users] RTP forwarding with avaya Cressatti, Dominique wrote: > Hi guys, > > I have an avaya definity system with VoIP phone. > We have several private networks which are internconnected through a > Linux router box > > The telephone system is on it's own network (10.44.11.0/24). Is it because rtpproxy use uses UDP ports > 35000-65000 while my telephone system use the range > 2048-3329 ? Cressatti, Most likely is that you are not using the gateway mode correctly. Basically, you need to indicate direction the message is going when calling force_rtp_proxy(). Please see the modules/nathelper/examples/alg.cfg file for details.
