I was able to deploy SM war onto a tomcat server, however, I keep getting exceptions when I try to access http based end points such as jsr181 annotated or http upload services. My main concern is, when is it really practical to host SM on any web container. Also deploying components or SA ( for SM hosted on a web container) is done via JMX and this completely bypasses the web servers security features, this in many big organizations would require security waivers, therefore, considering all the limitations and advantages when is it really practical to host SM on web containers.
