Out of curiosity, would there be any performance difference by using the standalong servicemix vs. the servicemix-web deployment? I realize that it depends on what container the WAR is deployed, I'm wondering if the stack itself would cause any performance lost? Such as, does a J2EE container add an extra layer to incoming/outgoing communications which would degrade any performance? It probably doesn't, but wasn't sure if anyone really knew for sure the impact.
