I would advise using something similar to what the ant tasks do:
return (AdminCommandsService)
MBeanServerInvocationHandler.newProxyInstance(
jmxConnector.getMBeanServerConnection(), objectName,
AdminCommandsService.class, true);
This should work with Java >= 1.4
