cxf-bc & xml payload

We have following work flow 

axis1 client -->  cxf-bc-->smx-bean-->cxf-bc(provider)

When i am calling bc using client , I am getting the xml document as shown
in below image

In place of >,<  am getting '&amplt' and  '&ampgt' 
can anybody explain whats going wrong here?? .
