We have some projects are in the progress to migrate from SMX3 to OSGi.
We do not require them to be JBI compliant so we decided to just use
karaf with activemq and camel installed. To manage this dependencies
with all the transitive dependencies we could like to have an
'automatic' documenatation of the dependencies.
The projects are build with maven so there is some kind of
documentation, but the maven dependencies are not always OSGi compliant
so some better process of installing/updating dependencies in karaf
would be useful.
Currently we are writing our requirements in a manually written
features.xml file and I thought the maven-features-plugin could automate
this process.

I hope it is more clear now.
