If you can't wait for the servicemix-camel new version release, you can
build the serivcemix-camel.zip yourself.
checking out the code , and updating the camel version, then typing mvn
clean install .
You will get servicemix-camel.zip you want from the target directory.
BTW, if you move to ServiceMix 4.x , it will be much easier for you to
upgrade the camel version. You just update the camel feature file version :)

This issue provided the patch that I used for Camel 2.0...I'm hoping there
is an equivalent patch for 2.1...

Also, according to this post from Claus...there are a lot of relevant
features that I'd like to take advantage of...xpath performance, improved
startup, exception handling, etc...
