No, there's no document for it, and IMHO it's not a easy task to
update camel version in smx yourself, a lot of bundles need updated.
But if you want to try, I'd say grap the camel-features.xml[1] to see
what the bundle version used there, and replace the content in
SMX4.2_HOME//system/org/apache/camel/karaf/apache-camel/2.2.0/apache-
camel-2.2.0-features.xml
is a good start.
