Hello Stefan! You are absolutely sure there is no firewall in between? For me, it looks like a problem we had in the past. That's the reason why the actual jmx url in ServiceMix is:
jmx:rmi://localhost:44444/jndi/rmi://localhost:1099/karaf-root You can find more about my problem here [1]. It's fixed in Karaf 2.2.0. Hope this fix your issue as well.
