Thanks Freeman, This worked and I was able to get past this error. I did run into another issue however. SMX currently use CXF version 2.6.3. Is there an easy way to upgrade to CXF 2.6.4? Perhaps I just need to modify the apache-cxf-2.6.3-features.xml file. The reason I ask this is because there is a critical SAML bug that is patched in 2.6.4:
