Using sogo 1.3.1 with an external ldap server ( openldap defined as auth
and adressbook server )
we have something like 100 user, each user belongs to several groups.
Each user needs to see 10 shared calendars.
Sogo works well but we have performance problems ( quad core3Ghz server
+ 4 Go DDR )
If one user is launching thunderbird+sogo plugins and refreshes his
calendars, i can see on the server ( netstat -anute|grep 172.16.1.10:389 )
that sogo needs to establish more than 5000 connections to the LDAP Server.
When all users launch their thunderbird, the sogo log show us

2010-09-22 14:52:30.281 sogod[9853] Could not bind to the LDAP server
172.16.1.10 (389) using the bind DN: xxxxx
[...]
Why is there so much open connections to the ldap ?
