different network paths and tons of other stuff.
Best guest will be to try again, and monitor Layer 3 activity.
You know, in case of a doubt, sniff it out.
Also might double-check that you're not running into a resource issue on
a VM. I've seen network connection issues after software upgrades on
OpenVZ when I had the VM configured a bit too conservatively.
