Hi SOGo Users,

i want to install SOGo on our Ubuntu 10.04 LTS x64 server.

I added the repo and did a apt-get install sogo. I've seen that Ubuntu
installs sogo with mysql, do i still need postgresql and ldap, because
they dont get installed automatically.

I'll try to do the most on my own, but i need some hints before i start,
hopefully not getting stuck with anything :)

Hi Jürgen,

I have a shell script that attempts to make first-time SOGo setup easier, by installing (and configuring!) components like OpenLDAP, Dovecot imapd, postfix, PostgreSQL (not MySQL!), Apache, etc. My script is not available online yet. Last I checked, it wasn't working properly. Still trying to sort that out.

Just installing SOGo itself is not enough, unfortunately. SOGo is designed to pretty much drop right into many different existing mail sever environments, which is why the apt package won't install some necessary dependencies.

There's also the SOGo ZEG [1], that you can check out. I haven't tried this option, but it's essentially a works-out-of-the-box package. At the very least, you can start testing with it right away.
