Hi, does this openChange solution allow a Blackberry enterprise server (BES) to works with SOGo ? Maybe somebody have tested that ?

Thanks you.

Objet : [SOGo] Status on Native Outlook Compatibility

 Hello,

Over the past two months, we've been working on a SOGo storage provider for OpenChange. This means Outlook can talk to SOGo just like if it was an Exchange server. We've extended our initial proof of concept (PoC) to handle events, tasks and emails viewing. We've released a new video at :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSZJ95YeXYE&hd=1

The video demonstrates email, calendar and address book access from Outlook. The emails are stored in an IMAP server while calendar and address book information is stored in SOGo's database (PostgreSQL in this case). All the information is then exposed by SOGo through its librairies that the storage provider for OpenChange uses.

While the code for this PoC is available within the SOGo sources, it's important to realise that it is not very usable in real world scenarios. The OpenChange's mapistore API needs to be adapted to fix the problems that were exposed during the development of the SOGo storage provider. Once completed by the OC team (and it should be quite quick), the SOGo storage provider will rapidly shape up and start being fully usable.
