I'm stuck on Ubuntu 8.04LTS because I have a rented VPS and the hoster only
supports this version of Ubuntu. Unfortunately the Ubuntu Packages for SOGo
offered start from Ubuntu 8.10 - does anyone know if they will work on 8.04, or
what else I could do to install SOGo?
Does your hoster support Debian 5? Than change to it und SGOo runs.
If not, have a look to this pages:
http://wiki.mhcsoftware.de/SOGo_auf_Ubuntu_8.04LTS
http://wiki.mhcsoftware.de/SOGo_auf_Ubuntu_8.04
http://wiki.mhcsoftware.de/SOGo_1.0.1_on_Ubuntu_8.04
It's in german and was written for 1.0.1, ok, but the essentials in
there. Most of it you can use with the current SOGo, I think.
GNUstep have to be in version x.16 and up.
AND: you have to compile all by your self. (a Memchache .deb I found at
inverse.ca)
With this (and a lot of work) I got a SOGo 1.2.2 running.
(and after that I switched to Debian 5 ;-) ).
If you are interested, I will search for my scripts I wrote for
automatic installing/compiling.
