Hi,

excuse me for this question, but I realized that loading the calandars
in thunderbird is extremly slow. Loading a calendar with round about
600kb of data takes about 22 seconds on a MacBook Pro. If opening the
same calendar via the web interface, it is loaded in under 1 second.

Is there some way to improve speed?

I checked the logs, but can not see errors. It is a Quad Xeon 3,4
HP-Compaq with 8GB RAM and 1000M/s network. So this should be fast
enough. Hard disks are RAID-6 on Ultra wide-320 SCSI controller. I do
not know, where to search for the bootle neck.

I do not understand, why thunderbird takes so long. Just while writing
this mail, I tried it again. Thunderbird gets dark gray and seems to
freeze for a moment, then comes back. It does not matter, if I do it
from the LAN or from remote.

Do you have any ideas? That would be really great :)

Thanks in advance

Best wishes
Christian
