I would say that both software are buggy :) The add-on doesn't specify an end date, which is bad. SOGo was crashing when an event has no end date, which was bad. SOGo will now define a duration of 1 day for an all-day event (no time specified) with no end date and a duration of 1 hour for a regular event with no end date.
