Currently I am using qmail for smtp and dovecot for imap and pop3. The
email users are stored in mysql. The schema for the user database is set
by vpopmail. Vpopmail is used so that we can have virtual users when
using qmail.
I would like to try sogo.
Is there a way to make sogo use the user database made by vpopmail? Is
there some setting that need to be set to make sogo use vpopmail?

Probably no one (on this list) is using such a setup at the moment....
But it probably is possible to get it working.
You will need two things:
- The user/authentication source for the users, this can be ldap or in
your case a MySQL database
- Access to IMAP for the folders+Mails, should also be provided by your
server

On page 23 it starts with the authentication against a Mysql database.
I think you have to find out the correct parameters yourself.
